Branding Together Community Guidelines & Terms of Use
1. Purpose & Scope The "Branding Together" community exists to foster collaboration, learning, and evolution among peers who understand the unique challenges and rewards of branding. Members are encouraged to share course progress, seek answers to curriculum-related questions, and provide advice when solicited. Promotional content unrelated to the course materials is prohibited. However, self-promotion relating specifically to course materials is acceptable.
2. Membership
- Membership is exclusively for participants of "The Business of Branding" course.
- Members must be aged 18 or above.
- Violation of the community guidelines may result in removal. This includes sharing inappropriate content unrelated to the course materials, using harsh language, or displaying unkind interactions.
3. Code of Conduct
- Members are expected to uphold principles of kindness, generosity, and constructive engagement.
- Conflicts or disagreements should be reported to [email protected] for resolution.
4. Content Ownership
- All content shared within the community remains the property of the individual member who posted it.
- The community platform does not claim rights to any member's content and will not share it without the member's explicit consent.
- Members should refrain from sharing content from this community externally, ensuring a trusted environment among peers.
- Commercial use of content is restricted to one's own posts outside the community.
5. Privacy & Data
- Data collected, such as interaction levels and post responses, informs course improvements.
- This data is strictly for enhancing community and course experience and is not shared with third parties.
6. Moderation
- The community is moderated by Cynthia Oswald and her team.
- Moderators reserve the right to remove members or content that violates the code of conduct, and to oversee general community management.
- Reporting of issues or problematic content can be done via [email protected].
7. Promotion & Selling
- Members may promote content directly related to the course materials.
- Promotions unrelated to the course curriculum are not allowed.
8. Disclaimers & Limitations
- The advice shared here does not replace professional, legal, or financial guidance. Members are encouraged to consult professionals before making business decisions.
- Cynthia Oswald, the course creator, and associated platform are not liable for any member interactions or content usage within the community. Participation is at the member's own risk.
9. Amendments
- Changes to these terms will be communicated via email and community posts. Members do not have voting rights or input on these changes.
10. Other Rules Specific branding or naming conventions, if any, should be respected.
11. Legal & Jurisdiction
- In the event of a legal dispute, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction most favorable to the community owner (this should be specified by a lawyer).
- Members agree to mandatory arbitration in case of disputes and waive their rights to class action.
